OS showed me a standard VGA graphics card. I am running Windows 7 on a Dell Dimension with the Intel video chip set. However, I did find the Dell Driver listed in CindyO’s 2nd post R and tried running it in compatability mode and it worked fine for me.
You can obtain drivers for the operating systems that are supported using the Intel Driver Update Utility.
Vv wish I knew exactly what it was, but at first it said the fix wasn’t supported, or there was an error or something. This discussion is locked.
I can verify that on that older PC it worked as I said earlier. Mine was a Dell Dimension PC.

I only downloaded the driver from this link: I received the message “This OS is not supported” when trying the fix offered by Cindy.
I tried loading the driver from the link Boris Lam provided Download Centerrunning it in compatability mode, but it did not work. Or do I wait for a driver? I can confirm that the Driver Cindy recommends above works.
But I do know after applying the driver and restarting I think I had to restart, not sure now that it did work. Until then Win 7 just used a generic driver that gave only x resolution or something completley unusable like that. The installation required a Re-Start.
Now everything works fine on my display. So what are my options?
