So far I have been impressed by the distance gained from using the XLS, previously I owned the XL model and I have discovered a notable increase of between 10 yards by just using the new model. Even though feel is distinctly dampened in this model, compared to the original this is practically a forged muscleback. Would you say it is a huge improvement over the HiBore XL? This club give me the the lowest spin and the best trajectory.

According to Cleveland all their efforts have concentrated on increasing the MOI, or forgiveness, of the range over its predecessor the HiBore XL and you can immediately tell the difference.
The club feels beautifully balanced and you can definitely work it each hybord, but to be honest I’m really surprised how forgiving it is. The club comes fitted as standard with a highly commended Fujikura fit on shaft, with a choice of gold shaft or red shaft in regular, stiff or extra-stiff. I just bought the XLS 9.
Cleveland Hibore XLS Draw Drivers
For this review, we looked at the standard model only. Not only does this increase the forgiveness, but it also makes it much easier to align the club at address. Last week I drove the green on a par-4 yds!
The underside of the clubhead is stylish without being garish, the red and silver compliment each other well. The larger face and higher moment of inertia of the Cleveland HiBore XLS Tour driver makes a big difference, because the crown of the head has been carved out to make it longer and deeper.
So I temporarily changed my swing to fit what the driver seemed to want to do. I just got an XLS with the gold shaft today.
As a 3 handicapper, distance is crucial yes, but why have distance when its not going straight? Top notch shaft fitted which seems to hyborf my game. My average drive was probably about yds. I purposely came over the top and held off my finish a bit.
As for the XLS, it has eliminated the majority of the side spin and it carries even further than my did! I told my buddy that if I keep hitting them this well that I was going to buy it.
The shaft options available at the custom fit center are great too. I got the XLS Draw 9 degree with the stiff red shaft. Cleveland has even added a measure of protection against knockoffs. I bought the XLS 9. At address the club looks great and gives confidence, additionally the powerful sound it makes upon impact is sure to turn a few heads! Much more solid than the XL hybrids which were, truly, a disappointment to me.

It actually kind of hurts my ears until I look up hbore see the ball speeding down the fairway. Sign in or Register with Golfalot.
Its 2 degree open face and toe biased weighting helps give better players more workability and increased distance. The hardest club for me to hit has always been my driver. I have an XL Driver, I won the thing in a church golf tourney, and since I got it at the beginning of the round, I played with it today. Any other shot seemed to make the XLS irritable.
This club is killer……. Do you think I would benefit from jybore HiBore? This one’s a winner. Your review is absolutely correct!
I have no problem working this club on the tee box. By submitting a review you agree to be bound by our terms and conditions.
